Course description
This unique course offers students the opportunity to learn drawing, painting or mixed media in a pace adapted to their needs. Each student works on a personal project of their choice (drawing, painting or mixed media) and is guided by Daniela who has extensive experience in fine arts and illustrations.
You can go from one medium to another and open your horizons while deepening the elements of the discipline that interest you.
For beginners, we recommend starting with some drawing lessons to gain more confidence and move on to painting or mixed media afterwards.
Depending on your goals, you will explore the processes of creation in figurative or abstract styles.
1- DRAWING
Students will develop their ability to work with still lifes or using photographic references.
We will discuss the different drawing materials and we will use a variety of techniques and tools to develop your perception of shapes, proportions and values. Most techniques are applicable to charcoal drawing or graphite drawing.
Students will follow a personal path and will choose, in collaboration with the professor, the topics that interest them in order to structure their development while enjoying the process.
2- PAINTING
The student will learn how to manage the stages of the realization of a figurative or abstract painting by exploring the languages and the various classical and contemporary techniques.
You will have the choice to develop a personal project using photographic references, to copy a painting of a Master, or to make a still life on the spot.
We will use a variety of techniques and tools to develop your perception of the shapes, proportions, values and colors that are the foundation of painting. Most techniques are applicable to oil and acrylic paints.
